Sand Hill Kitchen is uniquely located inside the Roadrunner/BP Market at the corner of Sardis and Sand Hill Roads. The location is near the ENKA Intermediate School and Franklin School of Innovation.
Based on the history of the area surrounding ENKA, the corner has been a natural gathering place for both residents and visitors passing through since the early 1800s when travelers headed into the picturesque Hominy Valley frequented a colorful and widely used tavern. According to the story, when patrons had enjoyed themselves a little too much, someone would help them get up on their horses which knew the route home by following the dirt roads and winding creek beds.
Today the roads have been paved, and the horses have been replaced by vehicles, but neighbors and visitors are welcome to enjoy a good cup of coffee and some great food at Sand Hill Kitchen.
